    Visual Jazz by Niklaus Troxle

The passions of the Switzerland Designer Niklaus Troxler, are two: jazz and graphics.
He's a Musician and a Designer and also organizer of the Jazz Festival Willisau in Canton Lucerne, and designer of several Jazz Festival posters and individual performance.

Niklaus Troxler has a rare ability to be perfectly recognizable in his own works. He has produced hundreds of posters, in small copies, they have the unmistakable Troxler style and his personality. Every work refers the characteristics of the jazz musician represented and figuration always inspired the style of his music, but it also refers to a particular graphics time: from Constructivism to Futurism, from Pop Art of the early 70s to symbolic abstractions, from typography to the 'portrait'.

"The poster is a really prompt medium, it reach the people in the streets, no one goes to the street to watch the posters, but posters come to people. They Stimulate an answer, maybe a smile... a little surprise..."

All images used are owned by Niklaus Troxler and they are taken from his website: www.troxlerart.ch.
