    Typography environment

This schoolastic project it's about design of a Typography environment based on the interpretation of the poem "Meriggiare pallido e assolto" by Eugenio Montale.

Project designed by Taddeo Zacchini (me), Marco Fornasier and Massimigliano Regoli.

This sense of a deep extraneous to the life and the world is at the origin of his poetry.
    (S. Guglielmino, H. Grosser)

    Meriggiare pallido e assorto

The character chosen is Foundry Sans, designed by David Quay and edited on digital foundry The Foundry, London, 1995.
This font, has a clear humanistic derivation and modulate line and terminations, with its axis Renaissance light and skew. Same features are present in the form small letter and uppercase that also derive from design of sixteenth-century capital letters: the Roman capital square. It was chosen for its historic connotation, no screaming shapes or labelling, but simple, dignified and clear.
