The secret of Kells: a tale like the old time
15 Nov 2011
The Secret of Kells is a 2009 european animated feature film, an adventure story about the boy behind the famed Book of Kells.
I am very impressed by the extraordinary work that has been spent in this movie: the graphic style of animation is amazing and every frame of illustration is master pieces, the quality of the soundtrack is made by one of my favorite artist, Bruno Coulais (Coraline) and the narrative structure reminds me to typical emotions of most beautiful fairy tales.
The movie is really well done: the realization was made by several animation studios of different nationalities: Irish Cartoon Salon and A Man & Ink, the Belgians Walking the Dog and Digital Graphics Studio, the Hungarian Kecskemet Film, the Brazilian Lightstar and the French Blue Spirit Studio.
A great collaboration that brought the film to be nominated at 2010 Oscar for Best Animated Film.
Definitely worth a look!
